About us

The Local is a Gastro style restaurant on the banks of Lake Hartwell that fuses the mouth-watering taste of comfort bar food with fresh, local, intricate dishes. Specialties include our hand patted burgers with local beef, hand tossed pizza, and chargrilled steaks along with wings and nachos and many more bar appetizers. Enjoy the multiple levels of our restaurant, built in the Frank Lloyd Wright architectural style, with natural woods, original stonework and high vaulted ceilings.

Join us in the bar for a more casual atmosphere that features a jukebox and darts. We offer 4 beers on tap and over 30 by the bottle. Our wine list consists of over 40 wines, all offered by the glass or bottle. Be sure to check out our featured higher end wines available by the bottle in “The Cellar” section of our extensive wine list. We also offer a full bar with specialty cocktails and frozen drinks.

Accessible by boat, The Local has a large boat dock with an easy walk to the restaurant. We also offer free delivery to the dock. Place an order with ChowNow for this service. Free delivery is also available to the Stone Creek Cove pool through ChowNow. In the warmer months join us on our three lakefront decks.
